Mena Alexandra (born on the 13th of February 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. After 1990, just after starting her career as model, she began to act in television programs such as Boy Meets World. She had her first film part in the drama Nowhere. With American Beauty and American Pie her name was recognized in her roles. In 2000, she starred in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the leading character for the role of Sugar & Spice (2000). The year 2002 saw her was a part in Spun the drama by an independent company and in 2004's thriller Trauma. The actress was a part of HBO's drama show Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was cast in a string of films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a model for Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she has also appeared on several blogs and fashion magazines such as Vogue. She has long been an advocate and supporter to the African Medical and Research Foundation. She has also been active with issues of empowerment for women, as well as charitable organizations which promote research into breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
